For each trip, we are assigned launch times so it is important for you to be at the Outpost on time. Allow yourself 2 hours to drive from Denver and 1¼ hours from Estes Park. Please call our office at (800) 858-6808 (493-4005 when in Fort Collins or Estes Park) if you run into delays or problems.

To get to the Routt Access Parking Lot:

From Walden, Colorado, take Colorado Highway 125 north 13 miles to the junction of Colorado Highways 125 and 127. At the junction, veer left, remaining on Highway 125. At just over 3 miles, you will cross the river, and farther on you will see a "Routt National Forest Access" sign on the right. At the sign, turn right onto the dirt road and travel 1/4 mile to the parking lot. Although many people drive to and from Denver in one day, we urge you to stay the night before your trip in Walden. This will allow you plenty of time to find the meeting place. If you want to camp, be aware that most campsites fill by 6:00 p.m. on weekends.
