Colorado River Rafting
Located near the headwaters of the Colorado River and Rocky Mountain National Park, the Upper Colorado River is ideal for those who want beautiful canyon scenery and non-intimidating whitewater. Red Eye, Screaming Left Turn, and other intermediate Class II and III rapids are fun for all ages. These river rafting trips are great for first-time boaters and families with children. With half-day, full-day and two-day whitewater rafting trips, we have something for almost everyone!
We provide all rafting related gear, guides in each raft, and a shuttle from the meeting place at our Mad Adventures River Office in Kremmling to and from the Upper Colorado River put in.
Weather in this alpine environment is variable with afternoon temperatures ranging from 70 to 90 degrees. Although there is usually plenty of sun, afternoon thundershowers can occur.
The half-day whitewater rafting trip will take you through scenic Colorado with steep granite canyon walls, beautiful wildflowers and the occasional encounter with gentile river wildlife. For the half-day whitewater rafting trip we put in at the Pumphouse launching site and float to the Radium take out.
